Peaches are the furry ones, apricots are the sweet ones, necatrines are the funny ones like a cross between an apricot and an orange...

No, you're right the fruits aren't poisonous. I just did myself some research. The fruits themselves are very much a sweet delicacy however, the flowers produce an enzyme to ward off larvae of butterflies and caterpillars of the such and would you believe the enzyme is in fact cyanide which we all know kills humans. Here, I have a useless piece of information for you: Did you know that those of the Nazi party and Hitler's secret police used to carry phials of Cyanide with them in their pockets, so, if they were to be captured by the enemy they could kill themselve before information was tortured from them?
