Good Evening Zane...

[Edward]

Edward leant on the doorbell of Zane's house almost lazily. It was his way, he just held it pressed until the owner of the house got fed-up and opened the door to yell at him. You have to get your kicks somewhere...

[Zane]

"Whoever the hell you are, get your s0dding hand off the s0dding bell!" Zane bellowed, his voice reverberating from somewhere inside the house. A loud bang (something being dropped on the table rather gracelessly) was followed by thumping footsteps and the door was wrenched open, Zane framed in the doorway. His scowl disappeared whn he saw who it was, his mouth pursing into a little 'o' of suprise. "Oh..it's you..." he said dumbly.

[Edward]

Edward put on his most winning smile though his eyes remained cold and emotionless, "Good Evening Zane..." he felt like bowing but restrained, "I'm unarmed, I promise and I have not come here to kill you or have revenge or steal something of your's or generally ruin your life... swear it."

[Zane]

"That's nice to know." he said, wondering why a Slayer was coming to talk to him if he didn't want to kill him, etc, etc. He knew Edward was telling the truth, he couldn't smell a lie, and he couldn't smell a gun... "I s'pose you want to come in?" he asked, still blocking the doorway.

[Edward]

Edward nodded, "yes please!" he step closer to the hallway, "I'd like to have a chat...."

[Zane]

"You'd like to have a chat?" he repeated, his eyebrows disappearing into his blonde fringe. "Er...sure..." he said, stepping back from the doorway and hovering uncertainly for a moment, before wandering into the house, leaving Edward to follow.

[Edward]

Edward followed Zane into the house, taking in every detail of the decor of the hallway as he did, was that humming? Was Edward really humming?

[Zane]

Zane wandered into the kitchen, the only room of the house he liked. He jumoed up and sat on teh counter, swinging his legs as he watched Edward examing his house. "What're you humming?" he asked.

[Edward]

"Maybe I'm in a good mood," snapped Edward with a glare and he edged around a kitchen chair debating whether or not he should sit down and make himself an easy target or whatever... "I wanted to talk to you about Nathaniel. He came to see me the other day and I was wondering about him. He's a bit er- well, odd at the moment. And if he's hung up on Anita I really can't be dealing with it."

[Zane]

"Nathaniel misses Anita, that's all. He thinks the sun shines out her a$$ ...I don't think he's quite got over the way she made him dominant enough to move away from her." he shrugged, letting his legs hang still over the side. Swinging them had got old. "I'm sorry if he's been bothering you..."

[Edward]

"Thing is... I can't tell him where to get off," Edward said with a disgruntled scowl, "because he's tied to Anita and she'd probably come running in, up the duff or not, and attempt to kick my booty. Then Aidrean'd have a pop at me because their like fcuking husband and wife and then Aidrean would order you to fcuking finish me off... joy..."

[Zane]

"Firstly, Nathaniel doesn't know where Anita is, I don't think, so your safe from her...and feel free to tell Nathaniel where 'to get off', just make sure you don't harm him. He's submissive enough to get the picture without you pulling a gun on him..." he sighed, wondering how someone as submissive as Nathaniel had managed to wind the slayer up so much anyway.

[Edward]

"He's a nuisance," Edward muttered, "and if I say anything to him Aidrean'll be in like a shot. He's the core of the porblem really. I don't much like him, he never gets the message, even when I smashed his face in..."

[Zane]

"He's not so bad..Especially considering he's a vampire." he said the last word like it left a bad taste in his mouth. "And if he really is the problem, can't you just talk to him? And maybe not smash his face in?"

[Edward]

"he doesn't listen!" Edward snapped, "how many people do you know get in your car and escort to the hospital so they can laugh at your injuries?"
